Activator Technique®
Chiropractors all around the world are known for using devices called “activators,” which have also been called “clicker instruments.” Whether you’re young, old or somewhere in between, this technique is pain-free, and involves the chiropractor using a small, handheld device that makes a clicking sound as it applies a low force to a part of the body where the chiropractor thinks it’s needed.
What to Expect
A chiropractor will determine if the activator makes sense for you and your joints. If so, the “clicker instrument” will be used to apply low force/high speed thrust to certain areas of the body. This tool directs energy in a precise way, at a certain angle that helps essentially nudge bones and other internal body parts into the desired position to take away your pain.
Is it safe and comfortable? Yes. Most people aren’t even sure it’s doing anything, but it is. It’s “that gentle” on the body so you don’t need to be nervous.
The Follow Up
