Applied Kinesiology is something a bit different than “the norm.” That said, it’s an interesting technique because it uses muscle testing to figure out what’s going on with your body! And by strengthening certain muscles, a chiropractor can learn more about certain organs and tissues in your body, and how they’re functioning. It’s a holistic approach to health care.
How it Works
As expected, a chiropractor will give you a physical examination and ask you questions about your current and past health concerns. Then he or she will check your posture and notice how you carry yourself. For instance, how do you sit? How do you stand? Perhaps some tests will be administered. Furthermore, your muscles will be tested to see how strong or weak they are, and this helps give clues to potential causes of various problems you’re having with your body. Once the root cause of your issues are found, then the chiropractor can take action using other techniques or options such as chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture or nutritional supplements, in order to relieve your pain(s).
